Privacy Policy
Worth Watching helps you track sports, films, live events, weather-aware plans, share links, and your personal watchlist. This page explains what the web and mobile apps collect and how that information is used.
Using the App Signed Out
You can use Worth Watching without creating an account. When you are signed out, your preferences, watchlist, weather choice, and last-good feed data are stored on your device or in your browser storage so the app can remember your setup and reopen more reliably.
Optional Accounts
If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, Worth Watching stores account basics provided by the sign-in provider, such as your account id, email address, name, and avatar URL when available. The app also stores your saved preferences and watchlist so they can sync across devices.
Sign-in is optional. Signed-in users can sign out or delete their account from inside the app when account features are enabled.
Weather Location
Weather is optional. If you set weather by city or ZIP code, the app stores that location preference. If you use current location, your device may provide latitude and longitude so the app can request a local forecast. Worth Watching uses this only for weather-aware planning and preference sync if you are signed in.
Sharing and Saved Data
When you create or open a Worth Watching share link, the app may store a share record and event snapshot so the `/s/...` link continues to resolve even if schedules or feeds change. The mobile app may also keep a last-good copy of recent feed data on your device so it can show useful saved content when the network or API is unavailable.
Analytics and Diagnostics
Worth Watching may collect product interaction analytics and diagnostics, such as page views, selected tabs, feature usage, errors, browser or device type, screen size, page path, IP-derived approximate location, and persistent analytics identifiers. When you sign in, analytics may be associated with your Worth Watching user identifier. Worth Watching does not send your email address to PostHog. Analytics are used to understand reliability and improve the product. Session recording is disabled.
What We Do Not Do
Worth Watching does not run ads, sell personal data, use third-party ad tracking, or request access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, health data, payment data, or address book.
How We Use It
We use this information to keep your preferences available across devices, show saved items, make share links work, show weather-aware context when requested, keep mobile launches resilient, improve reliability, understand which features are useful, and investigate errors.
Services We Use
Worth Watching uses Google and Apple for sign-in when enabled, Supabase for authentication and app data, PostHog for analytics and error tracking when enabled, Render for hosting, Open-Meteo for weather, and third-party live-event, movie, and sports data providers.
Your Choices
You can use the app signed out, avoid setting weather, clear browser storage, sign out at any time, or delete your signed-in account from the app when account features are enabled. See the account deletion page for the in-app path, the external request process, what is deleted, and limited retention. To request an export or privacy correction, email ndonti21@gmail.com.
Retention and Deletion
Signed-in preferences and watchlists are kept while your account is active. Active app sessions expire and stale session records are removed on a rolling basis. Account deletion removes your Supabase account and app data, active sessions, provider credentials held for account management, and queues deletion of analytics events linked to your account identifier. Analytics erasure and backup rotation can take up to 30 days. Narrow security or legal records may be retained only when required.
Data Freshness
Schedules, scores, streaming availability, weather, generated summaries, and third-party details can change or be incomplete. Confirm important plans with the official source before buying tickets, traveling, or relying on a time-sensitive update.
